Generally, if people have written professionally we would expect them to enter the experienced category.

Novice/Emerging writer would be for writers who havent been paid to write before or perhaps writing in their non native language.

I know there are many different types of writing- you are a screenwriter as an example- so we will leave it to the individual to assess honesty where they fit.
