This is a good article. I also wrote about it from a locals perspective yesterday. What many of the comments above are missing is that this really affects small independant publications that promote their articles via FB and rely on that for traction and engagement.
Murdoch and co can easily survive- not so the smaller businesses. So while I never go to FB for major news I do like to support smaller publications and come across many of these via FB
