Unfortunately they never spoke of this, but I have pieced together some informarion.. After their release they were transported to a refugee camp in Germany.

They spent a few years there. marrying in the camp and my mother was born there. Eventually they were accepted for immigration into Australia. My mother was 1 when they made it to Australia.
